Well I screwed up a wheelie and shattered my tibia yesterday; going in for an operation at 8pm tonight. Looks like Im going to be screwed for quite some time.

so no Chasing Dakar for me this time around. Charapa its all in your hands now.

I guess I will try to be top F5ire hose finisher instead. I have a bivouac pass for Nasca if anyone would like it.

Sorry to hear it, heal well.

I'm thinking about three weeks' bed rest in a spot with a good wi-fi connection should do it.

Terrible news Blueball, I was looking forward to meeting. If therei s any chance that the Biv pass is still available I would love to grab it.

Best wishes Bluebull... broke an ankle last year and removed the titanium 3 weeks ago, so I know a bit what does it mean

Oh man sorry to hear that, best of luck. I lost this summer to titanium repairs

. In my case they had to do it twice

. First one fell apart.

Oh no, Bluebull falls victim to the dreaded "pre-Dakar" testing voodoo!

You're in good company Neil... first it was Cartwheel Sam, then Panadol Zanol, followed by the announcement from Shot Shoulder Coma and now poor old Black'nBluebull... this years pre-season Dakar scratchings list is one of the toughest on memory! (Has anyone heard if Fretigné has fallen down the stairs yet? )

It looks like Cyril Duplo has the right formula... give the moto training a miss; spend most of your fitness time on the mountain bike (the pundits claim they're safer... but after watching some of those Danny McCaskill Youtube videos... I reckon the jury's still out on that verdict

) and then ride the rallybike like you stole it in january!

He reckons a nice mud spa about two thirds of the way through the event does wonders for the complexion too...!
