I was on my way to target to get a thermometer and tylenol for my ill sister and sat in traffic for half an hour.

I was otherwise unaffected and no pies were harmed.

Have you even made any pies lately?

Frankly I think you are slacking on the pie front, which should be no surprise to anyone.

I was headed that way this afternoon and was re-routed. Sad news, but glad that no one was killed.

Well I've been flyin' 'cross the land tryin' to get a hand. In other words - work.

Then sick with that stomach flu bug.

I have been to the M&G and such, just saying ... ahem ... we have not seen you in quite a while.

Life is keeping me out of the meat/meet loop a bit.

It happens.

We keep saying we need to have a get together at the Gravy Bowl (tm) but it never seems to make it to the top of the list.

Sorry about the flu - no fun!

Micky Mouse

A couple little Mickeys decided to come live in my house this winter and I have been trying to get rid of them. Did the snap trap stuff and even called in the people from rainbow pest. They don't actually do anything to help you kill whats there. Just stop more from coming in. What a waste of time. At at least they didnt charge me.

Does anyone have a idea(s) for killing Mickey short of getting a cat?

I had them in my house a few winters back. I used snap traps with great success but you need to place them properly. Find their route through the house and place the traps there. Mice are nearly blind so they like to follow the walls with their whiskers so place the traps so that the snap bar closes towards the wall. I used peanut butter for bait that seemed to work best for me. Keeping them from getting in is a big step forward now you only need to deal with the ones that are inside. Cats are not always very effective mine just wanted to play with the mice and only occasionally kill them guess they're too well fed.

This is good advice.

Also, clean your kitchen, top to bottom, in the cupboards and out. Make sure there aren't open packages or spilled food or other crumbs and such available.

Warfarin, then if the little buggers die in a wall or somewhere they don't stink up the place.

Sometimes they will even go out and fetch live chipmunks, birds and rabbits and bring them in to show you. Once in the house they let them go, critter disappears and cat adopts a "bored now" posture and goes to sleep.

It can take many months to trap a chipmunk, they are cunning critters.
