Last year, Chuck and I led the dual sport ride that most enjoyed very much. Steve Anderson and I discussed the option of doing a more sedate "gravel/graded dirt" ride like Panther Falls road and then a more "challenging" option that could include something like Big Levels, cell tower or Shoe Creek for 2013. Whatever it is, it really can't be too far from the hotel or people will bitch. Also, people going on the more challenging route would need to know up front that there is a strong probability that they WILL drop their bikes a couple of times, but there will be plenty of help to lift it back upright!

Steve, if you are reading this, I am still happy to help in any way posible.
As a participant of that ride, I think that is a great idea. I'm looking forward to this years Rally and am planning on hitting the Pedlar ATV trails on the Friday before.

Hey Goose, looks like the guys answered your question before I got back online. I would have just pointed you to Eddy anyway...

@ HP, +1 early spring training rides!

I see a Latte and scones tent where everything is served on "Touratech" printed paper cups/napkins. we'll make a killing.

One problem I see with the plan, we have to know how to make a Latte and we'd loose any chance at a profit margin after getting the "Touratech" branded napkins. Maybe we should use cheap knock off "Tour-A-Tech" napkins instead?

On an unrelated note, why isn't it 5 o'clock yet? I'm ready to go home.

Just got back from my first day at the training grounds. It was great. I'm going to need some hand guards soon because I already broke my brake lever. Met up with Karl then Jared came after he left. Good times. Sad to see my pristine bike slowly get beat up. Lever broke, and my decal on one side is already cracked all the way up the middle somehow. I assume one of my spills put some pressure on it. At least a good power washing still cleans her up well. I don't think the bike has ever been this dirty. I had to ride home with my gloves strapped to my handle bars after I went hands first into a huge puddle. It was a freezing cold ride home to say the least. Some grip warmers would be nice...

Yea I try not to get it too close to the seat or stickers. Anything else I should watch out for?

Wheel bearings, shock linkage and steering head bearings are some that come to mind. A power washer can blow water right through those seals.

Pretty nice how clean it came out though.

Gotcha. Unless you're putting it super close I don't think the pressure is that serious. It works good cause it only costs about 2 bucks for 5 minutes and cleans it up great after a messy ride.

Also need to be careful with the countershaft and shift shaft seals.
