Skeg from an outboard motor

On the freeway, doing about 75, hit my knee - down on the road and into my tire.... Dunlop dual sport tire, stiff wall, made it to the side of the road no problem.

Picked this up in my old Nighthawk several years ago. Pulled it back out and still used it until it wore out.

Found nothing but a pin hole in this tyre and tube on a recent trip up the Saphire Coast. After replacing the tube and attempting to inflate it I did find that I had pinched the tube though

Sure wish I'd taken a picture, I got a flat from the canine tooth of some roadkill I must have run over.

no pic either

8" bridge spike in the rear tire of my 520 EXC. I'd already donated my spare tube to one of my buddies. We were 125 miles into a 200 mile ride and it was getting late; pulled the wheel, pulled the tube, patched the hole, did a quick check on the tire -- didn't find anything -- put it all back together, it held air till I got it back on the bike. Dang. Pulled it down again, took the tire off the wheel -- holy cow, how could I have missed that the first time around?

That's scary....

Checked my rear tire tire pressure Wednesday morning - 12.5 psi. Found this inch and a half long gash with radial wires sticking out of it.

Of course it had to be a fairly new tire and 26 miles from my destination after riding for 2600 miles without a problem.

Recently had a flat on my Honda Trail 90. (a bike that has never seen a trail. Street only)
Found a tiny sliver of rusty metal had penetrated the tire just far enough to put a pin hole in
the tube. The little piece of crap was only three quarters of an inch long and maybe
the thickness of a straight pin, but somehow it made in far enough to nick the tube.

Sorry, not a bike tire. When I was a kid I worked at a garage. Guy brought in a flat tire and we found a pork chop bone in it. 30+ years later he's still one of my closest friend.
