Santa was good to Me this year! Just fitted Guard-it technology bash plate, Cycra Pro Bend CRM Handguards & a Renazco Ergo Seat in full Black Suede.
Bash Plate was a breeze to fit & the quality is awesome,Not too noisy & looks great in Black. Hand guards were fairly easy to fit with a bit of tweaking here as there as the CRM mounts fouled on the Scotts Underbar Damper mounts.The Renazco seat is the ducks gutz. I got lucky with the seat when I contacted James with a few questions about his seats. He had just had a seat returned to him as it was too tall for the guy that ordered it, so I jumped on it at a reduced price, Seat base & all.Total time from Email to riding on My new seat was 6 Days so I cant speak highly enough of the Renazco brand. James & Sonia were very helpfull & the seat is just as good as everybody says they are. Top quality!

Are you able to tell me what the overall outside/fitted width is of the TT pannier racks at the rear please? Just trying to find out if the TT racks are narrower than the RR racks.

It's about 48 centimeters.

Yep, I prefer to use furlongs as a unit of measurement.

The max width of the TT racks I have mounted measure 0.00239899 furlongs, but for the imperialist bastards out there, this converts to 19 inches.

Creedy nice rig. Noticed the scotts damper, its high on my list as the bike really needs it. Love the seat, did you go though the renazco website or do they have someone in AUS distributing them?

As a surveyor I prefer smoot as a measurement..

Yeh, the Scotts damper is a trick bit of gear, really well made.
I got the seat from contacting James here: info@renazco.com. I just got lucky.

I’m keen to know what effect a steering damper would have on open dirt roads – I love the 690, but suspect that I might have maintained faster average speeds on dirt roads wringing the neck of the old DR (albeit substantially modified) – it just tracked so much better – far more stable – the 690 would have left the old DR for dead on fire trails, but not on open dirt roads – feels as though you can’t use all that horsepower to its full effect – once over about 110kph, it gets very twitchy at the front end and every now and then the terrifying wobble kicks in ...

Get your suspension set up properly, with correct springs/sag and you won't have any issues like that.

I did it myself as objectively as possible – then took it to the local shop – apparently all OK ...
Perhaps I should get a more specialised opinion ...

The rear spring is really the weak point, and confirmed that with Super Plush suspension. I've had some pretty good speed wobbles at 80+ mph on loose gravel roads, but that was with over 40 lbs of gear on the tail. With proper rear spring and set sag, it's dead stable at any speed, any surface when it doesn't have a bunch of weight out back. Even all loaded down if I soften up the front a bit and get some weight over it everything gets stable.

Though, I do have a Gpr V4 installed for rocky offroad sections.
