Colorado is fantastic in the way they clear the road, and then gravels it. I am in Leadville, CO, and my brother is visiting from Denmark, and he was stumped how good the traction is on snow and ice. So careful of how south you need to go for the clear. Southern NM is all year around riding....except for a few days, but then you just grab your mountain bike....

There is a reason why we all have broken windshields in CO.

I feel your pain..... We got a few nicks on our way up here..... But I will personally take those good control..... But that's just me. A windshield is easier to replace than more expensive parts.... Including us clowns behind the wheel.....

I'd rather replace 5 windshields before having to torch out every bolt on my 07 Toyota. Friggin salt. Also, it makes the roads more icy and slushy than normal. I find it worse driving than the sand.

Yes every winter...
![]() Bike was only a few weeks old in these pics. Not even any engine bars yet. ![]() A few weeks ago ![]() Deep knobbies help. Stay smooth and hope for no ice underneath (I've been there too ebrabaek!) unless you stud 'em. Dave
