Montgomery Community College in Troy, NC has one of the best programs. Their proximity to Fort Bragg means there is a great market for gunsmithing work in the area.

Does the panic buying extend to all firearms?

I.E., what would an Armalite AR-50 sell for?

Not many AR-50s there and the two that are there are bidding at around retail price. The real indicator would not be the current bid but the sold price, which I am not sure is published.

That's the school I go to. I'd highly recommend it, we have good instructors, and a good relationship with the industry.
If you're interested, get on the list now because there is a decent sized waiting list.

Thank you. It actually started out as my #3 rifle project, as I was going to channel all of my efforts into a Remington 700
in 25-06. But once I got started on the stock, it started to take over. I'll have it finished in the summer when I blue the action and mount a Sightron scope on it.

You're absolutely right on all counts. I did need another graded project and had an open lathe, so I figured why not do a muzzle brake. Also, I typically shoot on my property, so I don't worry about upsetting anyone else.

Gunbroker

Has anyone here used www.gunbroker.com? I have used the site for pricing for years now, but have never purchased anything on it. I am thinking about selling a mini 14 and was wondering if I can list it? And have my local FFL holder mail it to another FFL holder.

From the rimfire thread

Just picked up these two from a friend of mine, along with 1250 rounds of 17 hm2

17 Hm2 Volquartsen ; not many of them like this out there:

17 Hm2 Volquartsen carbon barrel, and internals (trigger, and etc):

Both barrels are threaded for a suppressor.

I have used it and the site works well.

You can have your FFL mail or ship to another FFL, but you can also send it directly to an FFL yourself. You can't send it directly to an individual to whom you sold (unless that person is an FFL).

I believe you can send a long gun directly to a person in the same state.

You can also send a long gun that's classified as an "antique or relic" directly to another person if you both have antique or relic licenses.

Thanks.

I just read that here: http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/unlicensed-persons.html#out-of-state-firearm

Very helpful page.
