Anyone has a powerful staple gun around Brooklyn? I need help putting the seat concepts seat on my bike. Called a place up the other day, they want 100 bucks

Will probably try a few more places on Monday. I don't have air compressor, according to my research, electric gun won't work. Or will they?

let me know if you have experience with this.

Thanks and happy new year

If your seat pan is plastic, I've got a compressor and staple gun at the garage where I park (Vaxmoto - 523 third ave in gowanus). I'm going down there tomorrow- probably 11 or 12ish. You can PM me if you want to meet there- ill check adv before I leave.
Btw, I used the staple gun to install one cover on my scrambler, and it was pretty easy. Had to finish off a lot of the staples with a hammer, but it took very little time.

Great thanks! trying to arrange a day with broadway on this for now.

I think any gun uses compressed air will do the job. For some reason, these seat pans are hard as rock. many guys attempted with electric stapler gun without luck. with the right tool, it will be less than 30 mins job.

Just letting you know, Harbor freight sells the air stapler for $20.

Most of you will know this already, but Damien over at Ryder's Alley is a true motorcycle friend.

I spent a few hours at Ryder's Downtown location yesterday replacing 2 dumb o-rings deep within my coolant system so I wouldn't be driving around in a puff of sweet smelling coolant smoke.

He really helped me out in a tight spot, and I owe him 1!

+1

I totally happened onto RA Midtown by dumb luck. It's nice to have a place off the street to wrench and cheaper than any regular parking I could find in the neighborhood. I've even donated a few tools to the tool chest that they didn't have when I needed them.

Oh, and BTW, it's Demian. Not Damian.

Thanks for passing the info.

I don't have a compressor. Or have space to own one. It leaves me limited options

A rivet gun will work but will be a huge PITA if you even do it over again. Sure they hold better but you have to drill rivits out to remove them.
