honestly he's been sitting on top of my desk for 8 years in the same spot until y'all started picking at me about it. LOL

I was moving a hat and saw the toy bike and said hey Woody needs a ride.

Ace on the move! Knightwork and I took Ace out for a ride and found him a safe home for a while.

As far a location hints; A single event created the need for this cemetery. On October 19th 1862 a horrific train accident occurred here killing 34 Confederate troops being transferred north to another battle. Their north bound train, the A. M. West struck head on with another south bound train creating what was at the time, the worst train wreck (as far as loss of life) in the south.

For 127 years, the bodies of those soldiers lay in an unmarked mass grave by a Hill. In 1989 efforts began to find the grave site and create what you see in the pictures below. Each soldier who dies is represented now in cemetery. Its location is not easy to find but Knight and I have faith your find it.

Ace rests in the hollow of this tree.

He has a lanyard to keep him from falling in further.

There were no confederate battles in 1882!?!?!

War of Northern Aggression was from 1861-1865.

Maybe 1862?

Go by the tombstone - maybe that's why it's hard to find.

I find such comfort in knowing that I don't have to really worry about getting the details right as long as you are around.

Ok, thanks BW for the clarification. It was a mistype on my part.

KiS , DQ, and I met for coffee and breakfast at the Waffle House in Brandon---I decided that "Ace" needed to move before the lynch mob attacked----seemed like a good day for it---After "discussing" the weather-sports-pain-injuries-and Backwoods ----------------KS and I cut out on the "Run"---DQ headed back home --

We had fun and did not think that we had time to go to Memphis and eat ribs so we just meandered around until we put out the Tag--

Rode some really good dirt roads and enjoyed the day----

Good Post Kingsized----
