I found this explanation of Welsh pronumciation on line:

LL is peculiarly Welsh and difficult to describe. Form your lips and tongue to pronounce the letter L, but then blow air gently around the sides of the tongue instead of saying anything. The nearest you can get to this sound in English is an l with a th in front of it: (THL)

E as in English.

W is OO (as in Zoo)

E (again)

L as in English

Y is EE

N as in English

So that's THL-E-OO-E-L-EE-N

My gods the French never stood a chance

Et welwyn (prononcé welyn) est la ville en Angleterre où je travaille

Wondering if there will be a DVD of the team effort? It will be good the see a bit of the behind the scenes stuff that goes on, much like the second DVD on RTD.

Nice idea but it wouldn't be a great video as it is all completely calm and organised with everything done well in advance and no real last minute panics.

Charriot Mode?

Wonder what this team dynamic is. Are they riding their own races? Has Don bought himself the ultimate privateer watercarrier in Simon Pavey? Is Simon going for his best ever finish with Don providing backup/spares? They are quite far apart in start numbers so are they going to synchronize their opening stage time and ride together? In the picture above, are they testing the 'Charriot Mode' for the two bikes by bolting them together?

Nah don't think there are specific water carrier duties for either of them, they are each doing their own thing. I am pretty sure one will stop to give assistance if anything comes up, but no swapping of rear wheels in the plan I believe

Hard to tell from that photo and it hardly looks like they are getting on in anger but no Leatt on Don?

Could be, I'm just thinking with Don's history, he'd be better off with a helmet and a Leatt on and off the bike.
