While you were at Horseshoe Canyon on the Bridge River, did you go down the side road to the canyon floor? Seems like a good side leg to explore

It was private land and gated.

Re Horseshoe Canyon:
I guess that settles it. We will have to be content to look from a distance.

Re next ride:
A request to have the start & finish locations nearby so as to drop off luggage again. Got to get more weight off the bike, as my waistline doesn't want to cooperate anymore. The previous setup at Harrison Resort was great for leaving gear for later pick-up, thanks

It is Native land and I did see a sign saying if you asked the Band Office for permission they may let you ride there. I'm hoping to do another circle ride next year but we will have to wait and see if it will work out again?

I more curious, as it seems like a nice place to camp for a couple of days. I have heard that there are gold prospectors in the area & that they need band permission for access. Was just not sure of that exact location, though. Would that be the Bridge River or Lillooet band?

I've did approx the same trace last year on my buell xb12x but I was alone and that's why I rode "over safety" - not too fast and complex. But I'd like to acquire some new friends in BC for light offroad rides together.

My wife and I are starting to plan our late summer trip (she's got to have her dates in to work by the end of this month). We're planning on riding our to Victoria by some as yet unknown route. It'd be great to take in this years Big Trailie ride enroute. Any indication as to the intended area, roughly, yet? I was totally bummed to have to miss last year's ride. Ended up changing jobs so that can't happen again!

Oh, and the header should have read 2013 ride lol

Some of those signs are posted not on indian land but at or near a convenient access point.I disscused this matter with a conservation officer while hunting in the Lilloet area and they are not even legal,but nothing is being done about it.
