A couple of inmates leaving for Silver Creek Falls

Leaving Albany tomorrow at 1100 and heading north via Jefferson and Stayton for some pavement slave riding.

Cold commute today

Seemed to be 24F this morning going to work in Corvallis and 37F returning home. Forecast ice fog tomorrow morning... or possibly snow. Maybe the truck will work better?

Happy New Year
Dave

I promise to not call you a wuss.

Well, OK, maybe I will, but I will be driving my truck when I do it.

Last ride of 2012...Brrrr!

Here is a link to our trip to Silver Falls State Park on December 31st, 2012. We met up in Jefferson at the market and headed up the road to the Stayton A&W for lunch. Man it was hard to leave the warmth of the restaurant and head back out into the cold. Just as we were mounting up again, it started to snow slightly. Onward up the road to the park. Rode around the park very carefully as the centerline had "sand" from the road crew and the car tire tracks were slick with ice. Some beautiful views of the Christmas tree farms all frosty. Overall a great trip. Hope to see others on another trip.

Went through Alsea Falls area, the road is signed closed, but you can ride through on gravel.

Welcome to Corvallis. Contact Gran Prix Cycle Center in Albany for trials events.

There is a farm by Lebanon that has a great trials area. It is off Rock Hill rd. They also have a great (so I'm told) MX track. They charge $20 for a day of riding. Gary at Gran Prix can fill you in.

We also have a local group that have an evening get-togather in a local back yard. Send me a PM with your email address and I'll get you added to the group.

Trials is more fun with a group. dz

Thread seems dead

Most everyone that I know that rides has migrated over to the Ride44 forum. I'm the same "dude" over there...stop by if you are looking for an active group.
