I got a Seat Concepts standard foam and gripper top w/ carbon sides cover for the Berg.

Had Danny's Quality Upholstery remove the existing cover and foam from the pan, put the new foam on, add an additional layer of foam on it and install the new cover for $50. The seat is way, way better now.

I pm'ed the guy with an offer Ted. Thanks for the heads up.

Stephen, I've been meaning to go by Danny's with the Miata. Did you add extra foam because it wasn't comfortable or just because you have a bony ass? (It's called male pattern ass loss. Don't feel bad, I have it too.)

The Seat Concepts standard foam would probably have been fine (never tried it "stock"), but with my MPAL I wasn't taking any chances. The additional foam made it a bit taller (1/2"?), but the real increase I wanted was in the width of flaired out portion towards the rear of the seat, so I guess that part is maybe an inch or so wider than it would have been.

If any of you want check it out personally, just give me a call (293-4037).

Thanks Stephen, guess I'll have my own to check out soon but it might be fun to do a temporary installation and compare it to yours.

Some of you Roadrace folks may like this video, I met Jan a long time ago (he's a friend of a friend) and has had TZ750's for years. Apparently, he still knows how to ride one. Cool 2-stroke noises, bet it's a handful to ride.

Xt225

Just wondering if anyone out there knows of anyone selling a Yamaha XT225. Looking for a slightly used one that isn't too beat up. I am in the Shen Valley, but I'll travel a little bit if the price is right. Thanks!

Fire Road

Just picked up a '95 KTM 300 EXC Friday. It's cool having a 2-stroke in the garage again. At the moment it's not street legal. (parts are on the way) Some of where I ride in Madison is private land with Blakey Ridge Fire road running through it. It's been almost 30 years since I ridden up there on something with out tags. Does anyone know NFS/NPS regs on riding dirt bikes on fire roads now in the GW National Forest or S. National Park or RWMA?

Upgrade

Well, Darlin', there's alot of good used KTMs on CL. You may have to look a ways from C'ville though.

I don't want a KTM . But I am looking at CL pretty consistently. I don't mind looking outside Charlottesville. We can take a day to go get it.
