Ah, so the old tag was in Muskogee.

The angle of the photo and the old rock building is really similar to the old Talihina Indian Hospital just west of Talihina.

Old tag was the Five Civilized Tribes museum at Honor Heights in Muskogee.

I live in Poteau, which is about 40 minutes driving from Talihina. I have not ridden the Ouachitas down toward Talihina very extensively... but hope to eventually.

In the early 1980s I worked as a suveyor. We surveyed a pipeline that runs from McAlister to Mena. We spent alot of time just south of Talahina on a logging road that ran atop the mountain ridge. There were days we drove the Bronco for two hours to the site but milage was only 10 or 15 miles I'd love to go back and find it and ride it on the moto

Who did you work for? I'm a licensed land surveyor but I never worked that far south except for a couple bridge surveys near Clayton.

At the moment I'm in the restaurant business. Surveying was the best job, except in the winter.
