Tube Pictures
Here are a couple. The first is of a tube itself, cleaned and cabled, ready for mounting. The second is of the KTM showing one tube mounted in the lower front right. The other tube was mounted in the corresponding location in the lower front left. The tubes worked very well last year during a 15,000 trip from California to Quebec, then down the Eastern seaboard and across the South back to California. One tube held a replacement 21" tube, and the other tube held all sort of zip-ties, epoxy, loc-tite, tire irons, JB Weld, spare fuses, nuts & bolts, electrical wire, etc. I used rubber grommets/seals both inside & outside of the top tube hole through which the eyelet that the cable attaches to, and the tubes proved waterproof through repeated ferocious rains storms & stream crossings.

Would love to see more pictures from people with r1200gs's where they mounted them. I'm having a hard time working it out inside the BMW Adventure pannier rack while still leaving room for the suspension to do its thing.
