If I don't work late I could ride in the afternoon. Where did you have in mind?

Testing Out the New Bike
I just got a CRF250L (thanks for the help Sean) and was planning on trying it out today in the Francis Marion. New bike/old rider new to dirt so I won’t be much fun but will be out there.
On the CRF250L owners thread they call it the Little Red Piggy. So it should feel right at home with my Big Red Hog. Brian |

Mark and Ryan thanks for showing me some great riding. Perfect way to break in the new bike. Even going at my newby speed I think I'm going to be sore. I would hurt for sure if I did the second half with you guys.
Brian

Wow sucks about the warning from the ranger. Re-posted from email:
Bart...Watch out for the Law! Have to work tomorrow but I met up with Ryan on his KLR and Brian on his brand spanking new CRF250 this afternoon and we ran up on a Forest Service Ranger on Willow Hall Rd about 3 miles from Guerrins Bridge. He stopped us and briefly inspected our bikes...making sure they were street legal and then went on his way. We tried a few side roads and ended up back on Willow Hall, running a little above the limit and we saw him a head of us again so we took a left and crossed over Halfway Creek Rd to put some distance between us. We took a small unmarked road about 1/4 mile long that dead ended in a wildlife plot, turned around to head out and the Ranger was met us coming end just after we turned around. He stopped us, took our license, and gave us each an official written warning for riding on non-authorized roads. He was nice enough and just doing his job but took some of the fun out of riding since we were then restricted to the numbered gravel FS roads. I was under the impression that as long as the roads weren't gated or posted as prohibiting motorized vehicles we were good to go but only the roads with a name or number are apparently legal for riding. So all those dual track or single track trails are off limits and the 3 of us have been officially warned with our names and license logged in the system. Ranger said it was $200 fine. Good thing he didn't catch us speeding, said the speed limit was 40 mph. Mark
