I was thinking about building a frame that locked in where the seat goes for quick and clean detachment. But.... I question the strength of the seat lock when subjected to a loan amplified by the size of the frame.

I've looked at doing exactly that. Looks like it should be plenty strong.

I ordered these before the bike was stolen. I plan on replacing it with another Zed, so I didn't bother canceling the order.

That's pretty much what I saw in my head. I think I'll still fab up my own and make it square. I think saddle bags will hang off of it better that way. I think I could also improve the design.

I'm also thinking, if I was afraid fo the rear seat latch not being strong enough, I could always cut 2 slits in the middle of it and loop a strap around a seat frame rail and through the rack. I'm getting ideas.... Wishing i had my bike sitting next to me at work. I would make a SW model of the rack right now. haha

I often wonder if I should chain my bike while parked. I always you a disc lock.

I bought them from Motospecialties, I was going to buy from Twisted Throttle, but they didn't have any in stock.

Every little bit helps, I will never park with anything less than a two disc locks again.

I was in the suburbs of DC, in NoVA.

I miss riding... I've been in a crabby, cruddy mood for about a month now.
