Pyndon just got back from the riders' briefing, and I just got off the phone with him.

We catch up with Lyndon for an interview just after he returns from the riders' briefing on the eve of the race, and get some insight into what's on his mind. Sounds like his head is in the right place! Get some rest tongiht, Lyndon, and enjoy the journey tomorrow!

Never heard anyone so calm the night before the Dakar! Good luck tomorrow Lyndon - looking forward to hearing all about it.

It was awesome to hear your interview and look through the last few days of photos

Thanks for bringing us along with you at the 2013 Dakar rally.

I will be wearing my Lyndon Poskitt Klim jacket through the rally and pushing F5 till the end.

Be safe and stick to your goal

that dear friends is a by-product of meticulous planning and pre-paration/prepare-ation

and not many do it better than our Pyndon...he should sleep sounder than most....
of course this race would give most any sane man the pre-race jitters...

hell it's 5am Rocky mountain time and i'm up making sure i'll be on the starting grid with him,,,i just set my extra clock to Lima ,Peru time = Rocky Mountain time + 2 hrs= 7am in the paddock..

now let's see i have LPR gear here, lid out last night,,my Go Pyndon GO!!!! flag,my cooler and flask filled,,,,just checked LPR home page ..it sez:

0 Hours 0 Minutes 0 Seconds

holy sh--!
later!!!
as i write...
w

PS..here's a link to Dakar home-page that has time of start/standings etc...according to my calculations the bikes are leaving

Oh man, you're such squids - all of you! Am I the only one taking this seriously? Jeez! I get scared seeing pictures of you claiming to watch the Dakar without proper footwear, no helmets. And your knees, what do you think might happen to them while trekking to the refrigerator to get new bee... ahum. Eh.. electrolyte water.

So, the real story: Lyndon asked me for pictures when my girlfriend and I had gotten our swag and I promised I'd do it. However, in Sweden there's a fair amount of snow and ice right now, so the planned pictures with bikes and stuff didn't come to fruition. Also, some asshat decided it would be a good idea to try to steal all of our (4) bikes. So three of them are in the shop waiting for new ignition locks and immobilizers and the last one has been stowed away in a heavily guarded garage. Needless to say I had a bit of a dark mental period due to that, but the Dakar and the support for Lyndon is picking me right back up! I'll be glued to the telly and the computer consuming all there is to consume! =)

Hoping for the best and that you have a helluva time!
