Podium ceremony for MOTO's rolled by without a hitch... pretty quick and hasty (compared to the argentine extravaganza's of the last few years)... I agree on the sparse spectator numbers (by comparison) but as said, the argentinians are bezerk over dakar...
maybe someone will hang around to see if RG will do something spectacular bordering on stupid over the start ramp (and keep Etiennes pacemaker on red line), but i'm heading off down the track... see you in a couple of hours for SS1...

Ok, I'm gonna go out on a big limb and say a Privateer will lead Dakar after SS1.
My theory is the top teams will play it a little safe for fear of the big fixed time penalty they won't be able to overcome during the rest of the race, So that leaves the privateers with a chance to steal a stage win. If they make a mistake, take the penalty and move on still aiming for finisher status. |
