Just to weigh in from experience:
The Prologue means nothing in time, even with small multiplication factors. It is more of a game to set position on course for tomorrow and then try and make up free time based on a start position. Then again, I think they are starting in waves so that may lessen that factor even more. I'ts a long race but you hate to see someone open up a big gap because then they just play follow the guy in second place as not to lose time.

But what do I know? I liked starting in waves though!

2) Mass starts
On one or several Stages, mass starts may be given. In such a case starts will be given in group as follows:
 1st wave : the first 10 of the Selective Section of the previous Stage,
 5 minutes after, 2nd wave : the following 20,
 then, a wave of 20, every 5 minutes

Do this tomorrow mess with all the tactics

That bodes well, think he may sneak into the bivy in the dark quietly pushing the Hummer this evening

I just spoke to Brett Cummings he sounded a little disapoointed in the his result but stoked for Riaans performance. I guess the soft sand of Peru and the excitement of being in the biggest race on the planet had something to do with it.

The guys are resting and re hydrating. Tomrrow is going to be the first tough day.
