I read up on those transmissions in the pre dakar thread and u have to turn the vehicle off to shift to reverse. Sounded serious damage could be done if you failed to follow a particular order.

This is my first 205 so I should get a free pass on this one.

And Troy even found the link.

In SA, when the special is over, you hop on the Panamericana, wave to the kids and maybe stop at a roadside café if you have time.

And drc42 gets 10 min penalty for 205

Hello all. The 2013 Dakar started today. The first stage was raced as idealized. The selective section was all sand and very short. I did this step to think about tomorrow where we will have this first Dakar hard stage. I feel very well and I am ready to face all the toughness of this race.

Sadly no, the daily update just came rolling by. You'll see it on Eurosport in a sec I'm sure

For the Africa Twin to Dakar operation Honda gave you three set of rear sproke, the original 49, the 54 you see already mounted on the photo and a 43!

by the way, bikes 47 and 48 are still there, somewhere in the African desert, one of those things that don't happen anymore in the Dakar Rallye
