Reading this thread is driving me crazy. The streets here have been snow and ice covered for the last 2 weeks, but if the weather sites are right, it should all be gone within the next week and I can ride again! I don't care how cold it is, I WANT TO RIDE!!!

I don't know, that's the problem. I want something I can ride, and I think he's right, it's in too good of shape to be ridden. I think I'll leave it to someone else to put it in a collection. Is that a good price for it though?

I'm sure a collector would have no problem with the price.

It would take more discipline than I have not to ride it!

New to ADV rider, I have a 2002 VFR that I bought in 2010 w/ just over 10,000 km on it and it now near the 47,000 km mark. As mentioned in prev post, I also had Jamie re-do a stock rear shock for me. I found one in the USA for $40, he rebuilt it and installed a 1250 spring on it. I also sent him the front forks for some TLC, bike is that much nicer to ride loaded up. My wife just got her MC lic this past year in Oct, we found her a 2004 F650GS and now I am looking for another bike to add to the stable.

Kinda high, even considering the condition/miles.

All the carb work is kinda spooky too -- You really have to watch these things (Yooperwife has an '86) because the carbs will gum up in a month if you don't ride it very often and they are a real PITA to get clean.

BTW, this *ain't* a VFR...

True true.

But hey, it's a V4. All that matters.

I took my 99 VFR to the 1/4 mile drags the other night.
My best time was 11.681 @ 189.08 km/h.
I was really happy with that, being the first time I have ridden the bike in anger, and my first time drag racing
