When I was a kid we would carry rope or bungy cords and rap the rear wheel through the spokes when we were stuck in snow.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWBolLJtaHI Got a chance to sneak out for a quick ride and played with camera mounting. Going to try out a mount on one of my windscreen brackets tomorrow, hopefully find some cool roads as well.

What mount did you use for that one... and is the beak supposed to hit the fender like that when you hit a bump?

I used one of the flat adhesive mounts. The wide angle lens makes it look like the beak hits the fender but it doesn't, there's over lap and no contact even when the forks bottom out. I was surprised how much the forks move around though.

Found few other roads in the area. Some I have ridden this past summer. Mounted the camera to the wind screen bracket. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqATB6IBnuc

Great Thread.......

Been on AdvRider for some time and nice to see riders from the area and out of the area enjoying the BESF. I didn't know about the Bald Eagle trail system either although we did some riding on the dirt roads in that area. Not sure the big GS would be great for the single track stuff (at least until I get some knobbies and more seat time, but a lot of the other stuff mentioned looked great.....

The GS could handle some of the single track. When we do the 7Mts Campout this year, I will be leading a fire roads plus ride. Everything will be big bike doable, but I promise you will remember the ride.

Sounds good....

Just post the date for the 7mtns ride. I'm game. Bought the GS to hit the dirt from time to time and after doing that, remembered how much I missed it. Looking forward to it....

Also interested in the BYOB and the Laurel Forks rides as well. Went to college in WV and recently my wife and I did a ride down to Petersburg with a ride to Seneca Rocks, Dolly Sods, and Spruce Knob........Lots of nice roads there.
