I'm still sick so probably no riding for at least a week, but I already have something to look forward to:

it's mine for the next 6-8 weeks, I also got a permission to drop it.

That's an amazing bike. I hope you get a chance to give it a good ride.

I hope.... I hope I'm man enough to ride this beast: weighs less and makes more power than mine, sounds like it needs a skilled rider not a newb like me :)

You'll be fine, just make sure its pointed in a safe direction before you twist the fun grip too far. My 400 was a wild ride, I'd love to try the 525.

got most of the issues sorted: tail light re-attached, air filter cleaned, small wires repaired... bike was last used in Arizona or NM, rode hard and put away wet, I don't mind tinkering with it, owner is a good friend.

Still there is a cold start problem: battery to damn small to crank it over more than few times and kicking it is no picnic so I want to get something that will fit in the stock location but has more juice. Lithium?
Also carb leaks gas, needle probably needs cleaning, and once I started it noticed that one of the exhaust manifold screws is missing, easy fix but I was in a hurry...

Stock battery is a 7ah battery. I found a 9ah battery that fits. Well worth it.

Any feedback on Lithium batteries? I know they are usually 1/2 the size or twice the power, but how is durability on a dirt bike? Any particular brand?

Been slowly picking away at the bike, bled rear brake, greased up the slider pin (was stuck) replaced missing exhaust header bolt... this bike will be like new when I finally get to ride it to Pachaug, just can't leave things alone, I think its called OCD?

They're not perfect, but I would still buy one for weight savings and claimed longevity and power ratings.
I would just be sure to keep my receipt.

I have not had luck with any Lithium battery holding a good charge in the cold.
