F5 leave pass... f5ool is AWOL for the morning session...

Will be away from the f5 desk today for the first half of the day (last remnants of house move to attend to)...

Ya'all keep the f5ire burnin' here at virtual DAKAR central and have a great day (play nice together ).

Good luck to all the competitors today, I hope to jump back in front of the hose by mid stage or a bit there after... So if anyone feels they want to take the "f5ire in the hole" starters pistol into their keyboards hands... do it?

But don't get it out of synch (with the DAKAR clock and actual start instant)... that f5 juju is powerful stuff if it's misshandled.

Have a great stage, ride fast, smart... and don't fall off the keyboard!

Not at all worried. Its part of our strategy.
Word on the street is this year is like none other. No point missing the last stage by misadventure early on.

Aussie66 needs a definite penalty.

Neil awesome mapping skills.

Go boys..

Dakar.com STILL does not list CASELLI in the current general rankings. They show #29 and "()". Hmmm...

Just another case of taking days to catch up?

This site of their's does:

http://gaps.dakar.com/2013/dakar/stage-01/aso/ukie.php

Click on the Stage Tab, three over from the "Virtual Standing" Tab

You can also get to it from the "Live Tracking" Button on the Dakar.com site.

Seems like a fair, but warranted penalty.

I have a french friend, so penalties dont hit me hard. And otherwise I have a spanish friend who may also be austrian with a big moustache who can also help in times of trouble.

ANd beleive me, I have kept it morally acceptable as there are more than sufficient photo's of her available in bathing suits etc. Miss Poland 2011 etc etc.

Now After the ASO has reconvened, I accept thier sincere apology and applaud thier humility for retracting my penalty.

Merci beaucoup Ami's

Please not I did not start this slide in morals.

85 km of liaison, 1,5 hour.
250 km, roughly 3,5 hours for the fast boys and 5 hours for the mortals.

Its going to be interesting.
