Did you guys go down the hill to the rr tracks? I bet not, it's a MF even when it's dry. The last time I was down there with Rufus and DirtyDog we went down it. Rufus and I were on our KTM's but DD was on his KLR of course. I was a little concerned about DD getting out of there on the KLR. Not because of his riding ability, he is a very good rider but I knew he would have to be a good rider to get that KLR out of there. He only stalled one time and made it to the top with very little trouble. I'm betting That is the only KLR that has ever been down that hill and back up.

I was down there recently at a trials meet and the trials guys were going up and down it. They seemed to be surprised that I could go up it on a non trials bike.

Nah, we didn't. I was riding sweep most of the day and I kept wondering if we'd end up down there for some fun.

We rode a lot of repetitive trails. We need an experienced Gruber Guide next time. When I was leading, I was just turning onto trails with no tire tracks to try to find trails that didn't lead right back to the pits. That didn't really work.

Tom- Thx for the vids. It's almost like I was there with you. It might be interesting some time to mount the camera on your back to get footage of the rider behind you.
I'm amazed that your brake lever (and your clutch pack) survived the day. How have you made it this long without barkbusters? Or did you just remove them recently?

Maybe I can ride with you some day in Gruber. I spend most of my time at Indian Road and Highway 10A. Close, if I can get away.

I was thinking about mounting the camera backwards, but you are always so far behind me, that it would be pointless

I took the barkbusters off whe I installed the fat bars. One day I'll put them back on.

I have one last vid with some footage of you that I will post in a few hours.

I'm done for tonight. It was a good birthday

First lap through was fine, no falls for me. Second lap through was, well this...

Also batteries died before it could get the part where I was going up a 10' almost vertical hill and then up almost looping it and having the bike completely vertical and leaning on a tree. Bob says he has zero idea how I made it out of that one. Good times!
