I did look there, but it's mostly a classic site. Someone may open thread on the CB, but most classic owners don't go for the brand new. tp dd50

I own an 82 CBF and your correct that cb1100f.net is a classic bike site and is devoted to keeping these bikes on the road,but,speaking only for myself,I love the looks of the new CB 1100 and hopefully may own one in the next year or so.I go for brand new and classic!!!!!!!

The SOHC/4 forum has a few threads devoted to the new 1100.

Maybe they'll add something similar to the Bandit/FZ1 etc. boards for "2nd Gen" bikes. they are in the spirit of the originals if nothing else.

It's full of grumpy old men, I doubt it. :-)

I'm a member there but haven't been active for quite a while. I believe the owner of the site also owns the cb1100f. Com domain, back when Honda was calling the new 1100 an "F" he may have been thinking of having a forum for it.

I just got back from the DC show and stared/sat over the CB several times. I want one! The paint, fit, finish and overall package is unreal, on par with any $20,0000 BMW/Harley/Ducati. It was easily one of the bikes gathering the most attention and chatter.

***FYI: Several Honda employees did mention that the difference between the new 500cc Hondas with and without ABS is only $500 and that nobody should be surprised (wink, wink) if the CB1100 with ABS is reduced to $10,499.... still just a rumor.

Which would put the ABS equipped units at about 10K even? Maybe 10300? I am happy to see the non-ABS model is not coming to Canada! Never had ABS, but wouldn't touch a non-ABS bike with a stick. The technology is available. We should all be using it.

There sure are a lot of anti-abs folks on this site. I don't understand at all why you wouldn't want it on a street bike. The technology is proven, and is reliable. My next street bike will have abs.

Hi Eddy,
Since you sat on it, how's the fit? Are you tall? Long inseam? I'm 6'4" w/34" inseam and have read at least one review that the bike might be too small for someone over 6' tall. Thanks.

As you already know, in 2007, the bike was designed as a domestic only bike for Honda. That being said, it was designed to comfortably fit the average 5'5" (165.5 cm) Japanese man. The average American male is 5'9" (175.5 cm) and you are 6'4"...you get the picture. Nonetheless, sit on it for 15 minutes and decide. A couple of 6' tall men did say that it felt petite, while another grey haired man who was at least 6'2" and over 60 years old, loved it and said that he was putting down a deposit this week.
I am 5'7" with a 28-29" inseam and 43 years old, so my knees still bend fairly well. I could easily and confidently get my feet on the floor. It's nowhere as roomy as my R1200GS but with a small windsheild and softbags, I would have no reservations about going on a week long trip. I have read online that the seat is not great but that an easy fix with a call to Corbin, Russell, Sargent or Bill Mayer.

I want one WITH ABS. Non-ABS is great and it will, no question, stop in the right hands in a shorter amout of space than a ABS version on a sunny day, on a clean dry track. But, we don't ride in perfectly controlled environments, knowing that we are about to slam on the brakes. The real world involves rain, oil, moose, sand, deer, dogs, moms in mini-vans, furniture in the road at 0530 during morning rush hour and panicked braking. I"ll take ABS anyday. It has surely saved me from two spills in 27 years!
