Skid plate for the V-strom's

The new and improved Enduro Guardian Skid plate is here.

I have been working on making some changes on the ENDURO GUARDIAN SKID PLATE. And I have been listening to some of the feed back. And I have removed the bolts on the bottom of the skid plate. No more hex bolts. Now the skid plate is mounted on the sides with two button head (alan head) bolts. Nice clean bottom.

The prices have changed a little due to an increase in material costs. My stuff isn't made in China or Taiwan. It's made right here in Eugene Oregon USA. And I hand weld every single skid plates my self. The stainless and aluminum ones are hand Tig welded.

When ordering, you need the bracket and hardware with the skid plate to install it.
I have individual prices for the bracket because some customers just want to order the bracket and make it work with their other brand skid plate.

Steel skid plate package $180 (skid $140, bracket and hardware $40)
Stainless skid plate package $240 (skid $200, bracket and hardware $40)
Aluminum skid plate package $240 (skid $200, bracket and hardware $40)

View from the right side of the new design.

View from the left side of the skid plate.

How to Place an Order:

Now, when you order, send me a e-mail to yann_dex@msn.com or enduro.guardian@gmail.com with a list of what you want. A zip code so I can figure out the shipping cost.
And I will send you a paypal invoice. Once paid, I will ship out the package.
Let me know if you want the Upgrade hardware.

Upgrade Hardware $10

The upgrade gives you a flush look on the front. Two 5/16" stainless pan head bolts screwed into two machined blocks powder coated black.

Upgrade hardware mount

Traditional mount (U-bolts)

I also have Steel radiator guards that are powder coated black for $60.
And steel oil cooler guards that are powder coated black for $40.

I also have the radiator guards in stainless mirror finish (collector edition only 25 made) V-strom is written on the front for $100
And stainless mirror finish oil cooler guards for $50

I also have HWY pegs. $100.

They are designed to fold back if the bike goes down. you can also fold them in when you go off road. They are designed with a narrow profile so as not to catch the ground if the bike goes on it's side. Short center with long pegs. They will give you the lowest and most forward position for stretching your legs. And they have been truly tested. The rubber pad is both tapped with 3M tape and bolted down. The rubber pad stop your feet from sliding and absorb a lot of the vibration.

HWY pegs in the down position.

Up position

Normal leg position

Legs stretched out position (I'm 6' tall)

And the 1" lift kit $50

I'm always looking for feed back and picture postings from fellow stromtroopers who have installed my products. I'm a full time employee at a fab shop. I do this on the side for fun and to make my fellow V-Strom riders happy. It's a Hobie and a side business for me.

Thank you for your support.

Excellent pics on the site and above in this thread. I'm thinking about getting something like this, though may be overkill for my more limited offroad rides.

Really good to see some great craftsmanship put into this.

Just a few heads up on typos on your site:

Top of the "shop" page: "We specialize in protecting your Adenture bike"

Also on the same page....it should be "Adventure/Dual" not Duel. ;-)

Great stuff!. Replying here also to bump this one up for all us Strommers to check out.

I'm running an Enduro Guardian skid plate on my Vee and it's the only way to go.

Here's an example of the skid plate taking a good whack... no damage whatsoever. You can hear it smack, and year my riding buddies' reaction.

I bounce it off rocks all the time... a few scrapes on the bottom that I hit with a little rustoleum black at each oil change as a preventative measure to keep rust at bay (shoulda sprung for the stainless version!) but other than that, A-okay. The Vee's a pretty capable adveture bike once you add Yann's skidplate and get used to the sound of things bouncing off of it!

EDIT: Also, I should add that customer service is insanely good. I ran into what I thought was a slight problem with the install and ended up with me just being a bafoon. I called the phone number listed on the instructions at around 9 o'clock at night. It was Yann's personal cell phone, and 5 minutes later he had me straightened out. Can't beat that!

You should be able to mount any brand center stand with the EG skid plate.
I recommend the OEM from personal experience on my 09.
I have had the SW motech but started to have problems with it after a year.

Yann, you mentioned several skid plates you're not the most fond of (cross bar too close to engine parts) and some you like.

Straight up, what are the ideal bars to protect to the Strom uppers while also working well with your plate?

Worded another way, which set of bars do you run on your bike and also your top 3 if someone is interested in #2 or #3 choices for what ever reason.
Thanks, Bill

I will make my answer easy. Go to my website (EnduroGuardian.com) and click on (shop).
Right there on the face page of my store, scroll down and you will see all the info you need on crash bars. which ones work and which ones don't.

Now I have the Givi crash bars on my bike. Why? Because they provide great protection, I have more than tested them I can tell you that. Also, more important, they provide more space between the crash bar and the engine (on the front) then the other brands do. the other brands are 1/4" or less away from the engine. I don't like that. it's to close for comfort in my book. The GIVI crash bars give you more like 1/2" to 3/4" which allow you to use the upgrade hardware. The Givi crash bars for the older stroms and the OEM ,and GIVI for the new adventure stroms.
I hope all this makes sense.
If you want more info then what is on my website, call me (541)912-1205

Thank you.
