What are the odds on the trackers working today?

Morning all,

We were hoping Glen Grundy was going to make it because he was not on the withdrawal list. So I open facebook and this is what I see

Hey all. Interesting last 24 hours...I had a great 165 km start, transit and racing stage, and at 85km into the special, the Honda's engine blew up. Long line of oil behind me in the desert. Sat there until midnight, when the sweeper loaded my bike. I chased away the chopper twice, which wanted to load me, waiting for my backup to bring some assistance. It was not to be...Policeman brought me back to the bivouac, where it's 5am, and all waking up. My role will now adjust from Moto pilot, to team assistance and support. That's the way the world works sometimes. Ready to go to the dance, but no dancing shoes!!! Brett now has a personal skivvy, for the next 2 weeks. I will send pics and details shortly.

Just got my furnace running after 18 hours of no electricity. House dropped temps to where I could almost see my breath....funny reading about riders talking about the oppressive heat in Chile, watching vids of folks screaming across a desert while I prepare my house to freeze up

I'll sort threw the Manny pm's this morning

Possible that Helder was holding back on the throttle as he realized he was low on fuel? No way that "stock" crf bike would pull away from the HRC engine. Easy throttle or mechanical issue going on. In Maroc the HRC bike proved itself to be very capable.....

There is little penalty delivred to the field but #35 had the biggest..

Probably.. I didnt hear on the phone that are on his website as the sound was wery poor so i hope it is better after this stage. He had som fuel issues also and i think he has only 27L onboard.

Swedish scuttle but is that he had fuel starvation problems as well... the drama's of EFI, multiple fuel tanks (newly developed ones Mk III) and hot temps/full gas... Maybe he should head on over to Mr Yamazaki and see if they've got any spare vapour rocks... their budget might be a bit bigger than the swedish Military reserve's...?

So I ducked in off the street for the start (people at the thai take away had to do a quick green curry and coconut chicken "to go" with the order; "Quick, the moto field is leaving the SS3 DSS in less than ten minutes... can I get that in a take out carton?!" )

They just looked at me...

MK III seems to be 3'rd time failure for him.. As for the swedish military i doubt there is any funding as all they do is downsizeing allt the time due to less budget.. Time for a change you think?

All the time effort (and money)... he'd have had TWO 450 RR's in the shed to (practice) and race on by now... said as much to him in may 2009...
