Same shit happened last year as well. According to PAU, he checked in at the WP, but they fucked it up and he got a 20 or 30 min penalty. According to PAU :)

Situation on the ground

Looking at the times, Casteu is opening the track with Curtis and Barreda each about 20" back. Despres and Faria are about a minute back of Casteu.

Pal Anders and Israel together 2' behind on piste.

Viladoms and Pain together 3' back.

Caselli, Pedrero, ConSalVesh, Rodrigues, Fish And Svitko together, with Chaleco pulling ground on them and about to make contact.

No. Still about 20 riders missing from the timing.

Things I didn't expect when looking at the overall at WP5:

3 KTMs leading (Cyril, Chaleco, PAU!!!)

First Honda: Israel Esquerrere

First Husky: Jordi Viladoms

First Yamaha: Casteu

Dakar: where there's no end to the surprises

Not enough money this year, so have had to defer until 2014... fortunately that has offered a new and exciting bike/team opportunity, and something that is REALLY going to appeal to the ADVrider Dakaristi!

I'm going to wait until after the 2013 event is over to announce the project in detail, but lets just say if anyone has a dream of getting to the Dakar themselves, I may just have the answer... how about a full-supported turn-key rental package for 2014? - and at a significantly lower price than you could hope to do it for yourself! - please form an orderly queue right here!

Toot toot!

Go Pyn!
