Probably but the infamous mustache man provided a rear wheel to Coma, Despres called him on it. Marc was found guilty...Despres won the race. Next year was Mudgate

Still amazed at these people riding fuel laden bikes across the sand and making it look easy. I have tried several times to ride a motocross bike in the sand and failed miserably.

All that and these bikes are the "Small" ones compared to what they used to run.

What a great display of skill

Even at the leaders pace he has several hours left. Multiple that by X due to fatigue, dark, rider ability, etc and well....gonna be tight to get to the bivouac before tomorrows riders begin to leave. At some point he'll have to sign off with sweep truck. I cannot fathom riding that terrain at night. IF, and I hope he does, make it in there won't be much time to work on the bike, eat, sleep, etc.....the snowball battle would begin.

Come on Don, beat the odds
