Just wanted to thank ^^ BigNastybrp ^^ for offering up for sale a spare Hammerhead shifter he had laying around, within minutes of it being mentioned in my previous post.

Seems like they're out of production at the moment (and therefore rarer than rocking horse shit), so this was very greatly appreciated.

How much do those graphics go for, if you don't mind me asking. Something like that works for me to cover up all the scratches on my bike.

For a full big bike custom set (including front fender decals), designed and printed, you're looking at around £175-200 GBP ($280-320 USD), plus shipping (which isn't much). His off-the-shelf liveries are cheaper, but still wicked smart. Bikes with smaller surface areas to be covered cost less too.

Mine's a bit of a challenge because Kriega colors are black, white and grey and the decals don't wrap around the edges of the panels, so there'll be orange showing around the edges of each one. So Crispy's working on a few options to bring the orange in and make it look more like a paint job, than stickers.

Regardless, I still think it stacks up pretty well compared to a wrap, which would run around $500, plus design and shipping your plastics off if you don't happen to live nearby someone good.

Sort of a noob question ...from a KTM noob...my water pump decided to let go and now I have the awesome yellow colored oil behind the clutch cover. I suspect this is from my oil and water mixing.

Of course I am doing a full fluid change when I do my pump but should I do a small flush first? Maybe run oil through for only a few hundred miles to get that crap out of the system? The oil in the tank actually looks perfectly fine.

BTW, that bike either had dual front rotors at one point, or it now has two left fork bottoms.

It used to have two alright. I got all parts that where removed in a box in the deal and the other caliber and original dics are in it incase I ever want to return it to original condition. Also got a road book and a few other peaces to fix back on to it so I can get a few rallys in this year hopefully.

Yes, you should drain out what is in there and replace it at least twice with cheap oil before filling it for good. You can just remove the filter during the flushing process. Some guys will flush with kerosene, but as long as you get it hot a couple of times and drain it while still hot, you are going to get the majority of the coolant out of there.

You guys are making me want to just tear mine apart and fix it before it happens...

Do it when you get around 15K miles on the bike. And do it while your at home. I didn't and ended up doing mine on a trip through Colorado. I was lucky that KTM of Breckinridge (Motobrek) had all the parts and gaskets I needed in stock. They even let me wrench on it myself. Major stress though!

Thats what I figured/planned to do but wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. Cheap synthetic oil or the cheapest thing I can find, Rotella? Doesn't matter? Im not wanting to start a pissing match about oil...just wondering.

I would call CJ and order the hardened kit. Get it done!
