2012 Pueblo Toy Run

I normally don't take part in this type of bafoonery but it's for a good cause. Besides, I can get all my group riding for the year taken care of in one day and ride by myself the rest of the year...

The Pueblo Toy Run is billed as the longest running toy run west of the Mississippi, for whatever that's worth. It's equal parts bike show, parade, and freak show. Mostly HD cruisers with some other interesting stuff thrown in.

On to the pics!

Giant rodents? Yeah, we got that covered.

Attractively painted practical transportation? Yep.

V8 Thunder? The Boss was in town...

PBF's? We got em'...

Hotties? Yes sir.

Old iron? Indeed.

Foot clutches? Fuck yeah.

Bikes with no seats? Of course.

Our little ADV contingent did all we could to convert the masses, but we were outnumbered...

Maybe next year we can get some reinforcements to join us...

Good question, I didn't notice any gremlin bells, but we do things a little different in Pueblo...

Family of three came out for the run.

And no, it's not just them...

Family's that ride together, stay together.

In the end, a lot of toys were collected...

And nobody, that I saw, hit the deck. All the bad ass biker posturing was replaced with handshakes, hugs and smiles.

It was a good day, but I'm glad it only happens once a year.

Edit: Local paper says "more than 1,500 bikers" turned up and it took almost 30 minutes for the parade to pass. Not bad for a city of 100K...

Man, seems like just about every type of rider was there...not sure if that's a positive or a negative, but I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.

there were only two of you in your little contingent????

new to motorcycles and dual sport and pueblo...in my late 20's and looking for some people to ride with, happy to ride with all you old guys as well though :)
are there any local forums for dirt rides? even for up in springs? any good winter riding without snow within a couple hours other than pmi for practice?

Yep just two of us for the toy run. Not that many dual sports in Pueblo but that means the roads west of town are mostly empty. You can ride year round down here if you don't mind staying a little lower in elevation. Send me a PM and I can show you around.
