Numerella Folk Festival 2013

Is anybody planning on going to this event?

We are planning on riding up with some friends on the Friday.

Hubby and his mates went last year and had a ball, so making the trip back this year taking extras.

Yummy home cooked food, great entertainment and free camping with a market on the Sunday with breakie available if you don't want to cook.

I'll be here again, no choice really. If my knee is functioning, I'll be riding each day and happy to show visitors some of my back yard. If I can't get out, I can load up your GPS's with some roads/tracks/trails to explore if you like.

Almost certainly. Friday, Saturday & Sunday. At least.

I've chosen this over the Island Classic.

Plans yet to be made.

Finish work at 8am on the Friday, so can get away after that. (4 day weekend for me

)

I am assuming this is a dirt ride, so the DR will be packed..... just need to work out which tyre to go on.

Has anyone got a root planned? oooops mean route.

As on our 'home page' - I'd like to see if we can work in Goobaragandra Powerline & Lobbs Hole.

The outfit is fine for Lobbs Hole but what about Goobaragandra? I've not done it at all.

I think I need a DR or a KLR, just for hits & giggles (or broken bones & tweaked joints)(and another bike to somehow find sufficient time to ride, let alone work on)

I don't know Goobarragandra powerlines road or Lobbs Hole, but have just checked both out on Google Maps and they look very good ...
Could head up Ravine Rd (via Link Rd, which comes off the SM H’way) to Lobbs Hole Rd, then on up to and across the SM H’way – thence up Goobarragandra powerlines road toward Tumut.
From there ... ?
Getting to Ravine Rd ... ?
Is your plan to do some day trips from a base in Numeralla ... ?

Anyway, just learnt that there is a major fire, out of control, about 12km south of Numeralla.
