Hmmm, thread is dropping down the page - time for a new pic!

This is A.T. Barr's EDC with jigged bone handle and ATS-34 blade:

ATS-34 is still one of my favorite steels. It will take a fine edge and hold it well while still being relatively easy to sharpen when the time comes.

NICE. I like how that looks old-time-y, but has modern steel & features like a thumb stud and lock.

It was $425 as I recall. Unfortunately, Mr Barr is retired now. I am always on the lookout for his knives. I have four of them now.

They sell stick on diamond sharpener for the Zytel sheath.
They claim good adhesion in 24 hours.

Here's how it looks.

Looks like a good idea.
Wish it was black in color or more subtle.

I'm not a knife guy, but decided to get few good knifes to last my lifetime w/o braking the bank.
This is my first.. Ka-Bar BK7,
With the little time I spend in the woods with this knife I know it was a good pick.. GREAT knife.
BK2 and BK14 are on there way!!

I met him once way back when he lived in the Colony. I was thinking about trying to make knives, still am.

I never actually met him but up until he retired I had been chatting via email since the days of rec.knives (anyone remember that?).

Do you use the D2 balde knife regularly?
If so how does the edge hold up, how easy is it to sharpen, and what type stone do you use on it?

Just took delivery of this beauty:

This is "Number 100" by Chuck Gedraitis. What a gorgeous piece this is! The blade is 1095 carbon steel with an awesome hamon and the handles are annodized titanium with dovetailed gold lip pearl insets.

I only had time for the one quick picture last night and will be photographing it better later when I can play with the lighting - maybe this weekend.
