tire pressure? scorps vs heidi's
stock pressures are 34f/37r with the stock pirelli scorpions. i will be installing heidenau k60's in stock sizes this week, and was wondering if the stock pressures work on these tires? in the colder weather (~30 degrees) should i run a a little less pressure? or does this bike need the higher pressures because it is a tank? thanks.

I'm running a heidenau k60's rear at 36psi, which I think is the max listed on the tire.
@ 4400 miles it's still looking good. Should see 2K more. Not the easiest tire to mount.

I've never been able to find any recommended pressures from Heidenau for the K60's and have ended up running 34 PSI front and back, which seem to work just fine.
Personaly think the K60's are a great every day road choice for the Adv, last really well and don't suffer from the iffy handling of the Scorps when part worn, and a fair bit cheaper in our neck of the woods. And acceptable on the odd light trail a long as you remember they're not a full on knobblies. |
