Thinking of a day ride to
"Los Tercios" waterfalls in Suchitoto
If anyone is around or anyone has a route
I will leave monday January 7

Hi , if you want to bypass San Salvador you can go north on the airport road towards San Salvador and exit before
Santo Tomas .... You'll head east and loop around the east side of lake ilopango and roll into Cojutepeque .... From Cojutepque you can get on the pan am aka CA-1 and go back to San Martin ..... (not far) exit at San Martin follow signs in San Martin north to Suchitoto. (should be able to zoom in on mapquest etc. to see it )

There is a dirt road near Santo Tomas on the West Side of the lake ilopango with two water crossings and comes out in Ilopango ..... tricky if your not familiar with the area.

If your bike is stationary the bus route from San Salvador to Suchitoto is 129 .

Also, Roberto "El Gringo" in Suchitoto is very helpful.....

I was in El Zonte a couple days ago, last night Playa El Cuco and tonight in Leon Nicarauga. And I was in San Pedro Laguna Guat just after you. I rode around the lake with the police escort past the dangerous spot.

Where are you headed to next?
