two additional hints....
Just in case someone wants to see if their dual sport can do snow, here's two additional hints:
1. The duck is in the opening in the tree on the BACKSIDE of the trunk.. 2. N 40º 39.377 W 74º 45.427

New Tag
First get to this point. ![]() You should see this disused railway line. ![]() Head South alongside the line, until you see these Silos on the left. Note the fallen telegraph pole in the trees. ![]() The Duck is at the far end of the pole. As you can see its accessible with a road bike, but I was skating all over the place on the frozen snow.

Got It!!!...
Well, waited to see if any weekend warriors were interested in warming up their dirt bikes, but, alas, the tag sat dormant.
So, ![]() ![]() ![]() Was a very neat road, there, Jerry. With the warmer temperatures, was an interesting combination of mud, wet snow, and ice! ![]() New tag maybe tomorrow.

Thanks! Neat legal road in the middle of suburbia! Wanted to explore further down, but was getting late, and don't like to get stuck by myself! How far does it go?

![]() . I had to decide this one or GSTOR, I picked GSTOR because I ran out of places I know I could drop a new dirt tag this afternoon and be back to cook dinner. I ended up being late anyway, though.

Thanks. One of the things you have to be careful of with electric gear is that the charging system has to be able to run it and keep the battery charged. That's why I love the big GS for winter riding. I have very few "gizmos" running off the system, but it's designed to run lots of stuff, including the ABS. So it handles the electric vest, gloves, and heated grips without too much trouble. And the big lights at night.
One trick is to unplug all your stuff a few minutes before stopping, giving the system time to charge up the battery. And when you start the bike, have everything turned off, so only the starter is drawing on the battery. Hope you didn't have to sit out in the cold too long! ![]() Will try and get the new tag up later, or tomorrow.

The Duck has been "dropped"!
Walter and I dropped the duck in a very cool spot, but Photobucket is on the fritz again, so I'll try again later to post some pictures. The spot is pretty muddy, frozen underneath, and mushy on the surface, so get your knobbies ready. Redpower, I wouldn't suggest the multi/hyper motard with street tires. You might need a push!

The New Tag!!!
Well, one of the pictures seemed to go through.
So, here's The Tag Shot: ![]() The duck is under the flat stone just behind Walter's left boot....

Some "Dropbox" shots...
Well, since photobucket won't work, I've used my backup system. Nice we can do this at home because of the mascot!
So, here's a picture of my bike down the hill from Walter: And here's where you find the beginning of the road that parallel's the abandoned railroad bed, and leads to the tag site. My bike is coming out. You want to head West from the asphalt. GPS coordinates available. Just PM me.
