Performed a valve adjustment, throttle body sync and paralever bearing adjustment on my Y2K 1150GS according to procedures found here on ADVrider.

Also changed the oil & filter.

Picked up a '97 1100GS a couple weeks ago.

Here's a picture arriving home back in Maine after the 280-mile ride back from NY the day I bought it.

And here's what I've done to it so far . . . not all today.

adjusted valves
adjusted rocker arm axial play
replaced spark plugs
replaced air filter element
replaced fuel filter
replaced alternator belt
adjusted choke & throttle cables
cleaned big brass screws
synched throttle bodies
changed engine oil & filter
changed final drive oil
lubed lower front shock mount
lubed side stand & center stand
checked / tightened all nuts, bolts & screws
hardwired GPS
added rider and passenger heated gear harnesses
added SW-Motech crashbars
added Touratech hard parts
added Touratech oil cooler protection
added Aeroflow Headlight Protector
added Hepco & Becker side bags and top case

Still got a few more things to do . . .

. . . right now I'm in need of a couple short rear turn signal stems if anyone knows where to buy them.

Changed the spark plugs on the dual spark 1150GSA. I bought the bike last summer with 54k miles (now over 60k miles). Looks like the secondary spark plugs were original (fouled). Primaries looked okay. Runs better with new plugs, or perhaps I just think it does.

Tow truck picked her up and hauled her away. Insurance write-off. Awaiting for a sensible company to come out with a sensibly priced 400lb. shaft drive Adv bike. Sold my 01 Jeep TJ 2 weeks ago. I feel a new JK is in my future waiting for that dream bike. At least I still have my 01 DRZ400S. See yah.

I bought a bigger bag to hold my sleeping bag, pad, tent, and hammock in the same container. May have went over board on size, but what the hell.

I also bought a dromedary bag for desert camping. Eliminating my cheaper water containers.

Replaced the stock skid plate with the larger TT variety. Also installed a flux capacitor. Can't wait to get this baby to 88.
