I want to mount something...
... firmly to the bottom of a seat pan. Ideally, but not necessarily, held on by four M6 cap head machine screws or something similar.
Any inmates have a good solution?

Is seat pan metal or plastic? Flat surface?

Plastic.
It's a ribbed surface but essentially flat. Weight: A hair over #3. Four attachment points, one on each corner. Rivet nut? Hmm... never heard of those. Maybe something like that with an arrow head?

This thread did get me to thinking more about this though. What I could do is drill some larger holes next to where the final placements need to be then cut some slots where the final placements need to be and slide in some capture nuts from the side.
I'm sending this offer to Russell to get it made into a Day Long next week so I want to get this figured out before then.

Never mind. I had an old section of seat pan to experiment with and it looks as though plain ole pop-rivets will be up to the task.
