Reminds me of checking into the Alluvian in Greenwood, MS with the wife one time. We got some funny looks rolling into that hotel ATGATT.

What handlebar are you using? That bend looks just about right. I'm on my third and still not 100% happy with it.

Was gonna ask same question about bars. They really are a visible change, aren't they? :)

ProTaper Henry/Reed bend. It's not an easy install - a narrow bar that required widening via tig welding alu bar ends. Definitely worth the effort - much better ergos for me.

Thanks!

I'm rally good at bolting stuff on and drilling some holes. TIG welding, not so much...

I TIG weld about everyday... What wall tube did you use on the PT bars ? What insert did you use for the end bar bolts ? I had to machine a set for a customer once but dont really want to do that again.. Bars look great, im sure they are a better feel.. Good job ! Thanks

I can't take credit for the work - just that I was determined to make the PT bars work 'cause I couldn't stand the OEM ergos. The guy who got the job done is quite the artiste but shares your sentiments about never wanting to do it again.

a few more off rods from my daily trips on weekends

I Love this bike and feel so at home on it even in situations I was far less comfortable on the xt660z.

I thought you needed more stickers to be able to do that.

Very nice shots.

Wow, Israel looks just like SoCal. What kind of engine guard combo is that?

I used the basic Yamaha guards and the SW Motech together and welded steel bars between them. Works fine and has taken care of the bike on too many occasions. just a hassle when you need to get the side pannels off
