It appears there may be some DNA evidence left in the tissue and cigarette butt left at the scene.

M11 prelim

For those who have inquired... M11 will be a desert adventure, departing from Tuscon on April 5th. Highlights may include Death Valley? Route and destination still TBD -- either loop back to AZ, or end at/near San Diego (or maybe Las Vegas?). We fly home April 21. That's all we know so far.

Would be pretty cool if M12 started in the South West. A rendezvous on my way south would be fun

Question M10-M11 Mobigap?

Hey Doc! Lovin the report, several of your routes are now on my bucket list!

We live and ride in Southern Commifornia so I hope to make sure you've considered...

1.Mohave Trail from the Colorado River near Laughlin, west to about Barstow, Ca.

2.Red Rock Canyon, just west of Vegas, there's a 4wd route through there which comes out near the tiny town
of Sandy Valley. (no services as I recall) Then from there are many off road routes, old railway beds, powerline
freeways, etc. to, or at least very near Death Valley. ( I have GPS routes from Barstow to Vegas, PM if you want them)

3. Death Valley over the Panamint's west towards Ridgecrest, LOTS of interesting mining remnants etc. There's a guy named Jerry Counts who's cataloged and has many GPS routes through there, I'm sure he'd have the best recommendations, you can find him online.. http://www.dualsportwest.com/public/...12%20Topaz.pdf

4. There's 4 or 5 "crash sites" from the days when they did a lot of testing at nearby Edwards Air Force Base, they have small memorials and are quite interesting to research and find. Also near there is "The Husky". An old Husky was buried in cement to memorialize it's owner, a long time desert racer who loved this area. It has been there at least 25 years. Since then the Memorial has grown to several dozen plaques and is well worth seeing when/if you are anywhere near Barstow or Ridgecrest. I have GPS for that area also.

5. Sedona, Az. and surrounding Red Rock desert, maybe see the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, though that's higher elevation and North so weather might be more iffy.

Just my 2c worth for planning, most likely on your radar and included.

And of course should you need anything while you're in the So Cal Zone, we have plenty of friends and resources from
Vegas to Santa Barbara to San Diego. Including I'm sure at least several hundred friends I've never met who also follow Mobious.

With a slight bit of luck might even connect for a day or two, or at least meet and buy you a beverage!

BTW. I don't remember you mentioning how the bikes were getting from Denver to Tuscon, hence "Mobigap"

All the best,
Rutsref
