I think Cyril's in the catbird seat right now.

All the "fast in a flash" guys are behind him now, all with him riding well within his comfort level. I think his nearest concern behind him is Chaleco, 7'30 in arrears already.

Pain and Casteu both seem pretty smooth at this point, but my guess is that Cyril feels he can haul them in at will if he elects to push. Let's hope David's luck holds, as it certainly has not over the years.

And right there we have the difference between Marc Coma and Despres. Depres is worried about everyone else. Coma would be pushing out front everyday, increasing his lead by 3-5 minutes.

Could Cyril also be trying to preserve the motor. Without going 100% the whole race could they finish on 1 engine and save the 15 min.?

During the neutralized section, can they take fuel from other than ASO sources? Like from an HRC support truck just before the next section?

I disagree; 6 minutes is nothing. It's only day 4. Despres has shown he can reel that much time in seemingly at will. I think he playing a smart game right now.
