Very sorry to read this.

We had an awesome conversation on the plane and I looked forward to hooking up with them at a later date.

I have no words.

My deepest heartfelt condolences to the family and those that knew her.
I read this when it came out and I just couldn't do a response. it brings back too many memories of those of us out there that have lost fellow riders and family.
Been sitting here (with the cast- so there is that) and even trying to make sense of it all. I love to ride. SHe did too.
But i sat there and thought , there is alot I have to do on the "bucket list"
and some of those are exactly what drives so many of us to" find the way", so to speak.
I still wish and hope that she has found her way as well...

GOD Speed Patrice Martinez, the road is yours always.

Man, thats sad. It is a nightmare, it can just happen at any time to anyone. I didn't know Patrice, but my sympathies go to him and his family.

That sucks. I was cruising back, dirt roads last summer when I came upon recent crash where a 16 y/o going too fast lost control and came across the road hitting a tree. Made me think about if I had been 1 minute faster.

Sometimes there's just nothing you can do. Glad he died doing something he loved.

As I absorb all the Dakar footage coming out of South America now I'm reminded of my friend Patrice. I didn't know him long but he burned bright.

RIP, amigo.
