RR 40K character limit?

I must be effing something up here, sure of it.

Trying to post my first RR. got all excited, had my Pulitzer-worthy words and photos all lined up, hit "preview post" and got an error message saying i have to keep it under 40,000 characters.

The post is way shorter than lots of other RRs, I had maybe 10 photos in this installment (embedded from smugmug)and 1500 words max. Why pick on me?

Little help? are my images too big? (......does this RR make my images look fat?) are my words worth more than normal words?

As is, it looks like i have to, at most, post 2 pics and one paragraph per post.

there's a character limit per post, 40,000 is the limit. Break up your report into small posts.. It'll do wonders to your oddometer.

Maybe you're using too many big words. That's an average of 26 characters a word (minus the links). We're simple folk

Pics have to be hosted off site, but maybe you already knew that.

He said pics are hosted at smugmug.

Like GB said, split it up into multiple posts .... build the drama!

turns out that when i cut and paste the RR out of MS Word, a whole lot of stuff other than words was copied over. when i hit the "switch editor mode" in the upper right hand corner here (right up there, about 5.5" away), i could see all the extra gaff.

In the end i just copied into Notepad, then into the RR.
