Best places to find Adventures for sale?
I've been looking now for quite a while, and really the only places I've come up with are here, cycletrader.com, the search all craigslists sites, and ebay. Are there any other "for sale sites" I'm missing, at least for the USA? I even know of a local dealer with a white 2012 for sale that I can't find on the web anywhere. Yakaz seems to pull up stuff that is old or references the sites mentioned above. Where else am I missing?
Just want to make sure that when the time comes and I am able to pull the trigger (mid May, for my 40th birthday) I've looked everywhere I can... Thanks!

Over the past year I've seen some pretty good deals in the OC flea market. Other than that, Google and CL seem to be the best bet.

I don't know if they keep track of used at their dealers, but KTM/USA can tell you where any new Adventure is.

If it's still there in May you have a buyer... :)
I'm sure you don't want to hold it that long though, so good luck!

It will likely be sold as soon as everyone gets their tax rebates....but who knows...could be waiting for/ridden by me all spring.

For me, Craigslist comes and goes in spurts. You just gotta havebthebdough on hand when it pops up. While I was trying to offload my pig there were several owa interested in. Then once my Harley sold, there was nothing on the market. Fortunately I saved the telephone number of the 950 I was most interested in. Dude till had it but hadn't re-posted on Craigslist. I snatched it up! Get the money and be patient. Your deal will pop up! It's worth the wait.

The Flea Market here is the best place. Inmates here tend to be honest good people. I'd guess that a large percentage of 9x0 owners probably hang out here to some degree.
Wanted ad's work well if you want to shake something loose. There is the main flea market, Orange Crush Flea Market thread (needs to be a link to the main FM) and your regional forum might have it's own FM thread. Mid May sounds like a good time for a fly-ride. Happy upcoming 40th. I picked up my 06 950 in San Diego and rode it back in January. |

Everybody uses Craigslist and this utility searches it well and displays results by region or state.

I was looking for a nice, used 990 ADV last year, but every time I saw what I wanted they got snapped up.
So I went to a KTM dealer just to check out the new ones, and when I saw the 30th Edition Dakar Adventure, I knew that I was going to buy it. I'm glad that I did-

When I was looking for one, I found that they were a little higher priced here on Advrider.
But when I found them on Craigs list, the good ones did'nt stay long. Anyways, I finally found on on Craigslist and within 100 miles. Just the exact bike I was looking . And for a very good price. Before I could see it, I was so afraid someone was going to get to it first. Luckly for me, the owner was out of town and his wife's phone was broke. I was the first she heard from and the first to look. I paid a deposit (I was in my wifes car) before I left. When I came back over the weekend with my trailer, the wife said the phone had rung off the wall. So, when you do find what you want, better be ready with the cash.
