Tech will be playing at the GLI for the championship at 7pm eastern on fox sports Detroit. After shutting out Michigan last night 4-0, they will be getting a shot at #7 western michigan .

The announcers in the pregame for the consolation were having a tough time acknowledging the score last night - f`ing homers

Minnesota vs. Notre Dame tonight, battle of 1 and 2 in the current polls and pitting MN coach Don Lucia against his alma mater and his son, Mario. MN is without Erik Haula for a few weeks, will be interesting to see how the top two forward lines are rearranged.

Should be a good game. Headed to the bar with a couple of friends to watch it.

USCHO put up a good column regarding the rest of the WCHA schedule, not an easy road for a few of the better teams.

Air Force is 8th in the AHA.
CC is 10th in WCHA.

Conditioning... CC is in good shape for a team coming off a 40 week lockout. Goaltenders can't buy a backcheck. Prowler hangs his head low.

I might go see AF vs Army just because I can.

Its time! CC vs DU this weekend. Denver is having a much better season than the Tigers. It will be fun to be at the game Sat.

Last weekend I went up the hill to Cadet Ice Arena Sat. night. Air Force lost in OT to AIC. I'm 2 for 2 in overtime losses attended this season. Is it too bold to predict CC will lose in OT tomorrow?

Air FOrce goes to Mercyhurst in a battle for 2nd in the AHA. Its 3 points separating 4 teams again in that league.

The Michigan Tech hockey team will be hiding in a cheap hotel on the run after tonight's murder of hated rival Northern Michigan, 8-2

Went up 4-0 in the first 8 minutes, was 8-1 after 35 minutes.

Tech was all over UAA Friday 4-1 until a late collapse and won Saturday 6-1. Granted, marginal competition but hopefully this is the momentum boost needed to finish strong going into the WCHA tourney. At this point a home ice game is all but eliminated from possibility so the hot sticks will be needed.

Mankato this weekend.

E-Gads! Its almost March. Last week was good for the CSprings teams. Both The United States Air Force Academy and Colorado College earned a tie and a win. CC needed 4:49.5 seconds of overtime Sat to get their win over Denver. The game was a circus. Denver was up 2 after the 1st; CC led 4-2 after 2; Final score, 6-5 CC. Prowler has started taking children's Asprin for heart attack risk. That's how it goes for the Tigers. They are off this week

Air Force has their sights on 2nd in the AHA. Niagra has 10 points on everybody but any one of 4 teams could be #2 by Monday. Two of those are AF and Canisius who comes to town this week. $9 tix. at the door. A great bargain for anyone that likes pux or people watching. Free parking too. KLRs can park up close*

Both CS teams won and lost this week. CCs only chance at the NCAA final 16 is by winning the WCHA tournament and the Broadmoor Trophy.

Meanwhile The United States Air Force Academy is #2 inthe AHA 3 points ahead of #3 but #3 is now UConn. Up next, AHA #1 Niagra comes to The Cadet Ice Arena to finish the regular season. At least one tie gets the Falcons a week off and Home ice in round two. I think AF also must win out to get an NCAA invite. But the have a better chance than CC at this point.
