Meh, it was OK. I was without bike, so I could not take advantage of the slightly better temperatures.

Last year we went to Denny's Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield. Decent burgers and several options for routing to get there from State College.

It is difficult to plan a ride this far out. The weather will have a huge bearing on what we actually do. Year before last, the wind was so bad that we ended up not riding after lunch. Spent a lot of time fucking around at the hotel.

S'ok, I do that too.

I'm not going to make it this year. I committed to something else, not realizing it was the same weekend as this.

Nice route......

Here is a nice 60 mile, 1.5 hour ride, that Steve led Mikey and I on last year. Good twisty roads, and a nice little bar at the end, with cold beer, and good food too.

So, I took Racer43's route, which ends close to Renova (a.k.a. the north end of Rt 144) and continued it. Ended up with a 168 mile figure-8, with short cut options available.

We will just have to see what the weather allows and figure it out from there.

Hey Intrigue, maybe you should borrow Archer's 990 since we know that he won't come out to play with us.

Mmmmm. Renova. I've never seen Hyner View in the winter.

Don't count on seeing it unless you're going to walk up, or have a snowmobile.
They don't plow the road to the top unless that has changed in the past year or so.
I've made it to the top in April, and still a foot of snow and ice across the flat once you get on top.
