As close as I got to a bike today was watching a R1150GSA roll through the parking lot at Brandywine. Spring conditions at their finest on the slopes - at least the few that had snow on them - too bad it is 2 months early.

We did. We decided to ride local in the mud. Got about 4 hours of muddy trails in. I'm tired, and my back side is sore from the board in a towel seat.

He had coffee, I had ice water. I gorged myself then 2 hours later walked through the door to a 4 course meal. Doubt I'll have to eat breakfast tomorrow!

I did get cold fingers and toes. The Kathmandu gear is no where near as warm as my old combo of Nitro Jacket/Tourmaster Pants. Even with a 90watt jacket liner over a t-shirt, I still got a few chills. The liner in the pants is not all that thick either so next time I'll probably throw a pair of thermal britches under my jeans. My fingers actually stay warm unless I need to shift and brake a lot, then the constant contact with the levers cools them off.

I need to get it figured out soon so that I can stay toasty on the way to Mississippi next month.

I am telling you brother, add electric First Gear gloves and socks and stay toasty like us KLR riders. Now I will have to go to see Kevin at Rubber City Vintage Cycles and get a custom milk crate to put all this gear.
