2003 ktm 625 sxc
I just picked up my new to me, motarded 625 SXC. It's a hoot and has way lower vibes than any of my LC4 Adventures did. Has an FCR41 installed too. It came with an 18L tank/comfort seat combo as well. I will be in the market for a set of 18/21 wheels with a cush hub too, if you have any leads.

Just got myself an SXC and what a hoot it is. Took that and the 690 out at the weekend on some muddy plains and I have to say the sxc gave me more fun than the 690!!!!!
Just ordered a 17L tank for it so it`s time to bling it up. Pictures to follow! PS. I am 5`10 so I`m hovering even on flat ground

G'day all,
I just bought my first 625SXC, '05 model with 7,000kms on it. It came with a spare 18lt tank & comfort seat. I'll probably need to ask some new owner questions in the coming weeks/months. A great thread, I'm bound to pick up the info I might need. Thanks. |

My 625
Hey just seen this thread.
I got myself a 625 for $3500 with bugger all k's, 18lt safari tank, exhaust, bash plate, and heaps of spares Took it out on the tracks and rock climbs I used to pump my little Suzuki over but the ktm is a bit to heavy for it as a result, the bike decided to have a sleep and broke the clutch lever. Fitted rental high rise fat bars with 1 inch risers to improve my position as I'm 6'4, and twin radiator fans to switch with a blue led that I control on the dash. Also all my warning lights were crapped out so I rejigged the the dash and added 2 amber for left and right indicators with high beam in centre. Neutral light is playing up a little so I'll be tracing that wire to find the fault Here's a few fots Day I got it [IMG] [/IMG]Trail tech speedo and new retard lights. ![]() Right side fan fitted. They had little lugs that required me to mash a couple if rad fins to fit them through for mounting ![]() Lugs through the rad ![]() The connection in the centre ontop of the frame had power with the ignition that wasn't being used to I used it for the fans

mendydrz;
I would keep an eye on the fan install. There is very little meat on those aluminum tubes where the fan is mounted. With all the vibes the LC4 motor has I don't think it will be too long before those bolts wear a hole in the rad tubes. You would be much better off if you mounted the fan off of the sides of the rad. Sure would hate to see you having to stop every few miles to piss in the rad to keep the bike cool! Cheers

Hey Mendy,
Not sure if you're aware of the LC4 thread index, there's a wealth of information and helps on just about everything LC4. This is probably the thread you would want to refer to when doing the fan installation If in doubt, ask and someone will chime in with an answer or a link ![]() Quote:

I did see the lc4 ref thread and have been slowly trawling through it.
Honestly I don't find and issue with vibrations on the bike at all other than the dunlop 606 rear. Runs really smooth. Smother than my Suzuki. I took it out on some tight single track riding with steep rock climbs and descents. The bike had a couple of sleeps and I broke a clutch lever but every thing else is sound.
